EQUIP - Interceding for the Lost

The First Wednesday of February, March and April, we will be having special EQUIP Nights with the theme, "Interceding for the Lost."

These special teachings on interceding for the lost are rooted in God’s heart that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). In His grace, God invites us to participate in His redemptive mission by standing in the gap and praying souls into the Kingdom through the powerful ministry of intercession. During these three sessions on the first Wednesday of each month, you will learn prayer principles drawn from Scripture that will deepen your understanding of intercessory prayer and inspire your active participation in God’s redemptive work.

Join us February 4, March 4 & April 1!

“Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do…” — John 14:13

Prayer is powerful. But intercessory prayer—praying on behalf of others—holds a special place in God’s heart. When we come before God in Jesus’ name, we are holding the KEY that unlocks heaven’s doors. Jesus gave us His name as the authority to approach the throne boldly. It’s not our power or worthiness, but His name that opens heaven’s door. Along with faith and persistence, our prayers move the hand of God to bring breakthrough, healing, and peace. The Holy Spirit helps us pray when we don’t know what to say, aligning our hearts with God’s perfect will. As we intercede, we stand in the gap for others, partnering with God in His redemptive plan for the lost.

Use the KEY --  pray in Jesus’ name. Pray with faith and love for those around you. Watch how heaven responds and doors that seemed closed begin to open.

Through these EQUIP classes, you will be encouraged and equipped to:

  •          Pray with greater confidence and biblical understanding
  •          Intercede effectively for those who are far from God
  •          Learn how prayer prepares hearts, opens doors, and releases God’s purposes
  •          Grow in perseverance, faith, and spiritual discernment

Intercessory prayer is not reserved for a few—it is a calling for every believer. As Scripture reminds us, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).

The vision in my heart for First Wednesday is that we would grow together as a church family in this sacred call of intercessory prayer—praying for the lost and for the nations of the world.

If you desire a deeper prayer life and a greater impact for God’s Kingdom, these special EQUIP classes on intercessory prayer are for you.

Come expectant.

Come hungry.

Come ready to be equipped.

Come ready to pray.

The theme verse for EQUIP: For a Life of Ministry is Ephesians 4:11–12. The Lord gave the five-fold ministry gifts to the church “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

The work of ministry we are being equipped for on Wednesday nights is Great Commission work—making disciples. This is the mission of the Church, and intercessory prayer for lost souls is a vital part of that mission.
